The crowning penthouse at Harlem’s Circa Central Park sold for a record $9.45 million

A penthouse at Harlem’s Circa Central Park has sold for $9.45 million, setting a sales record for condos sold above West 96th Street and East 102nd Street, the Wall Street Journal reports. The identity of the buyer is hidden behind an LLC, but the penthouse went into contract in September, and the sale closed last week.

The apartment was on the market for $9.8 million, so it sold only a little bit under its asking price. The condo measures over 3,700 square feet and comes with five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The apartment also has over 1,200 square feet of outdoor space that comes in the form of a large terrace attached to the living room, and a smaller terrace that can be accessed through the master bedroom.

The apartment takes up all of the 11th floor of the crescent-shaped building on West 110th Street. The condo comes with floor-to-ceiling windows which offer up views of Central Park from various sides of the unit; there’s radiant heated flooring; an in-unit washer and dryer; and central heating and cooling.

The apartment owner will also benefit from a 25-year tax abatement that is estimated to save the owner $2 million in taxes over that period, according to the WSJ. The sale was brokered by Corcoran’s Steve Gold.
