When you think of “Staten Island mansion,” the first thing that comes to mind might not be a contemporary home with a minimalist (some might say bunker-like) exterior. But the house at 186 Flagg Place, located in Todt Hill—one of the borough’s tonier enclaves—is just that; it was built in 2006, and hardly resembles other homes in the neighborhood. It originally hit the market back in 2014 asking $4.5 million; it’s since gotten a price chop, and is now going for just under $4 million.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is spread out over a positively massive 10,000 square feet, and comes with custom everything: eat-in kitchen, fireplace set into a stone wall (stone is a big theme throughout—it also features prominently in the master bedroom), steel-and-wood staircase, and more. There are also “hotel quality” (per the brokerbabble) amenities, including a sauna, a gym, and a heated indoor pool with its own tiny waterfall.

Thanks to its location—not quite at the top of Todt Hill, which is the highest natural elevation in the city, but not far—the home also has pretty spectacular views of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and beyond, all visible from its three terraces.
