The glorious apartment has shaved a few millions off its price tag

The stunning triplex penthouse within Soho’s cast-iron building at 421 Broome has returned to the market with a few millions shaved off its most recent $65 million asking price. This time around, the 8,000-square-foot loft is looking to unload for $59.5 million.

While the $5.5 million price chop doesn’t hardly make it affordable, it could be enough to lure a loaded buyer. The owners, a distressed asset investor and his wife, purchased the place for $17 million in 2011, so it would still be profitable if it does sell for its current asking price.

The loft has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms and received a gut renovation led by Roman and Williams. Some of its most notable highlights include a black marble staircase from Chesney’s, massive arched windows, multiple skylights, a huge industrial-chic kitchen, French doors, several wood-burning fireplaces, at least 20 custom closets, a fitness room, a screening room, and 3,700 square feet of outdoor space that includes a “spa terrace” and five more lavish terraces.
