Just a few weeks after announcing plans for its first ever Manhattan project, Brooklyn-based developer Hello Living has now revealed plans for a new building in the Bronx.
After purchasing a parking garage for petroleum products distributor Ambassador Fuel, located at 1049 Washington Avenue, for $11.3 million, the firm plans to construct a 104-unit condo—to be named “Hello W”—in its place, reports The Real Deal. If things go as planned, the building will rise 11 stories and will span more than 150,000 square feet, with 46,000 square feet being set aside for a community facility. The apartments will be a mix of studios through four-bedrooms, with ND Architecture and Design tapped as the project architect.
Hello Living has 13 developments in Brooklyn, but is just beginning to venture into other boroughs. Earlier this month, the firm announced plans to build a 272-unit building in Inwood, of which 30 percent would be offered at prices below market rate.
