The area immediately around Bryant Park isn’t exactly known for being dense with new residential buildings; David Chipperfield’s The Bryant is a notable addition to the area, but the pickings for newly built apartments are quite slim.

But as of this week, there’s one new rental in the mix: Skyline Developer’s ML House, located at 1050 Sixth Avenue (“ML” are the Roman numerals for 1050, hence the name), launches leasing today, with its 62 apartments now on the market from around $3,225/month.
The building, which is located on a slender lot just south of Bryant Park, was designed by Gene Kaufman and stands 25 stories tall. The apartments within come in studios, one-, and two-bedrooms, and there’s also a $14,500/month penthouse that has a truly enviable perk: unencumbered views of Bryant Park. The units have all of the typical high-end finishes (custom cabinetry, white oak flooring, limestone backsplashes, etc.), and some even have their own outdoor space. Amenity-wise, there’s a fitness center, communal outdoor space, and concierge service.
Prices for these apartments are not far off from the median rents for studios and one-bedrooms in Midtown, according to the latest MNS market report. The currently available units start at $3,225/month for a studio, and go up to $4,610/month for a one-bedroom. Larger units have yet to hit the market.

The project has been in the works since 2016, with the building topping out just over a year ago. Though leasing starts this week (Citi Habitats New Development is handling), the first move-ins aren’t expected until the beginning of next year.
