High powered TV executive Shonda Rhimes, who’s resume includes hits like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, is the new owner of an Upper East Side penthouse in a Rosario Candela-designed co-op building.

The two-bedroom apartment underwent a two-year renovation and was asking as much as $14.75 million back in March. In June, the price was cut down to $12.5 million, however, property records indicate that Rhimes managed to score an even lower price, paying $11.75 million for the space.

As for the penthouse, its highlights include a private elevator, an expansive corner living room with double exposures, a formal dining room with a wood-burning fireplace, an office, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry, a pantry, bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and custom fitted closets throughout. The star of the show would have to be the wraparound terrace, complete with plantings and views of the neighborhood.

Amenities within the white-glove building include a 24-hour doorman and a fitness center.
