Ceilings soar to 14 feet high and there is a private terrace on hand

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

A sun-filled duplex on South Second Street in Williamsburg has hit the market with an asking price of $799,000. The brokerbabble calls the space “contemporary, light-filled and dramatic” and we can’t say that they are wrong. Let’s take a closer look.

There’s quite a bit going on here and it’s unconventional shape makes it all the more interesting. In the living area, ceilings soar 14 feet high, huge windows allow for a plethora of natural light, and there is access to the small terrace. The adjacent kitchen is simple but sleek with white and glass cabinetry, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar.

The lower level is where you’ll also find the bedroom complete with beamed ceilings; 1.5 baths, a washer/dryer machine, and two closets.

On the upper level, there is a loft area that would make for a good home office space, or whatever else seems suitable, as well as a small room.

Common charges here will cost you a mere $210/month while taxes are set at $14/month, thanks to a tax abatement that’s in place until 2031. The one drawback is that the condo is on the fifth floor of a six-story walk-up, so make of that what you want.
