A decked out penthouse atop the William Sofield-designed condo building at East 79th Street is now on the market for $23.5 million. The listing comes just a little over a year after this penthouse first sold in January 2017 for $17.31 million, property records reveal.

The owner is only identified as “Westeros LLC,” which would make most people wonder if this apartment has any connection to a Game of Thrones producer or cast member, but Curbed wasn’t able to verify that connection.

Now on to the apartment; it features four bedrooms and five bathrooms and measures just under 4,500 square feet. The apartment opens up into a foyer that reveals a stunning wrought-iron curved staircase that connects the two levels of this duplex penthouse.

The formal living room and dining room are located on the lower level as is the kitchen. The wood-paneled living room features 10-foot-tall ceilings, and offers up views of Midtown Manhattan. The media room, also on this floor, comes with floor-to-ceiling windows that open up onto a Juliette balcony. The kitchen here is fitted with a host of swanky finishes and appliances including a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher, a Wolf six-burner range, and statuary stone counters.

The master suite is located on the upper level and has access to two separate bathrooms each with their own walk-in closets/dressing rooms. There are two additional bedrooms on this floor, and each of them have an ensuite marble bath.

Residents in the building also have access to a host of amenities like a catering kitchen, a landscaped private garden, a fitness center, a game room, and a residents lounge, among other features. Will this home find a buyer at this price? Sound off in our comments!
