Congrats are in order for fake_estate, who took home the prize for the closest guess for this week’s Pricespotter apartment without going over. The unit, an alcove studio on the Upper West Side, is asking $565,000; this week’s winner guessed $555,000. (There were other close guesses—namely saltspringsusan’s $569,000—but alas, we do play by Price Is Right rules here.)
Kudos are also in order for stache and ProHeights, who correctly guessed the location: This apartment is located in Lincoln Towers, a co-op at 165 West End Avenue. It’s only a short walk to Riverside Park, and Central Park—as well as a few different trains—are all within walking distance.
The apartment itself is a fairly uninspiring rectangle, but given the location and the price, it’s not a bad deal. We agree with Adrastos C, who made this assessment: “this is not a terrible studio for a starter ‘on your own’ type of situation.”
