The single-family home has benefited from a recent renovation

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

As Ridgewood, Queens, becomes a more attractive alternative to nearby (and more expensive) neighborhoods like Williamsburg and Bushwick, home prices have started to rise—but for those who aren’t working with a multimillionaire’s budget, it’s still possible to find a single-family spread for under $1 million.

This home, on Decatur Street near Myrtle Avenue, fits the bill; it’s a three-bedroom townhouse with 2.5 bathrooms, listed for $849,000. It was recently renovated, and while the revamp isn’t particularly fancy, the home is clean and bright, with plenty of space.

On the first floor, the entrance leads into a light-filled sun room; there’s also a separate dining room, and the kitchen has new appliances and marble counters. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms—one large, and one rather small (though it could work as a nursery or office)—as well as a master suite with a balcony and en-suite bathroom.

As for location, the home isn’t too far from a subway stop—the Halsey station on the L is a 10-minute walk—but it also comes with a two-car garage.
