One57 condo with rare private outdoor space seeks $28.5M

New, 41 comments

It’s one of only two condos in the building to offer a terrace along Central Park

The 1,005-foot-tall One57 may look like a soaring, solid glass sheath, but the building that made Billionaires’ Row manages to conceal two condos with private outdoor space—and one of those just hit the market for the first time ever. The condo that serves as the Spring Garden compliment to Bill Ackman’s $91.5 million Winter Garden penthouse, the only other condo in the building with outdoor space, is asking $28.5 million.

That hefty price tag buys the aforementioned 671-square-foot solarium and outdoor terrace along Central Park, as well as 4,603 interior square feet with five-bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and common spaces spruced to the nines by interior designer Katherine Newman.

The brokerbabble for the listing, with NestSeekers’ Ryan Serhant, says the condo comes with a 43-foot long great room, a kitchen equipped with custom cabinetry by Smallbone of Devizes and stainless steel appliances by Miele and Sub-Zero, and bedrooms with closets too numerous to count.

In addition to being one of two of the building’s condos with private outdoor space, number 41D is also one of the last sponsor units, or yet-to-be-listed and sold apartments, in the building reports The Real Deal.

As for the great jump in price between the two condos in the building with outdoor space, the $28.5 million Spring Garden residence is merely on floors 41 and 42, where the Winter Garden residence that sold for $91.5 million is on floors 75 and 76. The Winter Garden residence is also nearly three times the size, at 13,554 square feet.
