The lovely Upper West Side townhouse, formerly owned by horror author Peter Straub, has returned to the market after selling in 2015 for just over $7 million. The new owners have listed the 5,500-square-foot abode as a rental that is going for $22,000 per month, reports the New York Post.

The home appears to have receive a major revamp and has parted ways with the vibrant wallpaper and wall paint that once decorated the bedrooms and the parlor level. Its more classic details, including the ornate wooden staircase, original shutters, and six fireplaces, all remain intact. Additionally, there are six bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a contemporary chef’s kitchen with a huge island, floor-to-ceiling windows, a stained-glass panel above the staircase, a full basement, and a landscaped backyard.

Back in April 2015, Straub listed the stunning 19th-century home for $7.8 million and it quickly found a new buyer, selling for $7.05 million.
