The megadeveloper’s first foray into Brooklyn is as luxurious as you’d expect

Williams New York

It’s official: Extell has landed in Brooklyn.

The developer’s first Kings County building, Brooklyn Point, launches sales today, with apartments starting at $837,000. The condo is the final piece of the larger City Point megaproject, and is currently under construction at 138 Willoughby Street. It’s been in the works for a few years, but it was only this past summer that construction on the skyscraper, designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, got underway.

Though it’s not as pricey as some of Extell’s other New York City properties (One57, the forthcoming Central Park Tower), the building will bring a heretofore never-seen level of luxury to Brooklyn. Both the interiors—done by Katherine Newman Design—and the amenities are more in line with what we see for Manhattan condos; the 485 units come with imported stone accents, oak flooring, Miele appliances, and other fancy finishes.

The building’s 40,000 square feet of amenities, meanwhile, are as over-the-top as you’d expect from the developer who brought a private tea pavilion and urban treehouse to the Lower East Side. In addition to what is allegedly the highest rooftop pool in the Western Hemisphere, the building will have a stargazing observatory, pilates and cycling studios, rock climbing, a pet spa, various lounges, a “forest adventure,” stroller valet, a game lounge, and yes, even more.

The 700-foot skyscraper will also be Brooklyn’s tallest—for a little while, anyway, until JDS’s supertall at 9 DeKalb Avenue is complete.

All of the available listings—which run the gamut from a $837,000 studio to a $3.413 million three-bedroom—can be found here, and you can check out some of those floorplans below:
