The Financial District latest tall residential will be located at 3 Platt Street, just a short walk away from the South Street Seaport area, The Real Deal has learned. The Moinian Group has filed plans with the city’s Department of Buildings to build a 37-story residential tower at Platt Street with Hill West Architects on board to design the tower.
The project will replace an existing four-story commercial building, and be located next to a luxury rental owned by the Moinian Group at 100 John Street, according to YIMBY. Plans filed reveal that the 464-foot building will have 250 apartments, which will measure 680 square feet on average (most likely rentals). The residential square footage here will measure just under 170,000 square feet, and another 43,741 square feet have been dedicated to commercial space.
The building will also have some limited parking space; the rest of amenities have yet to be announced, and there’s no word yet on when construction will get underway.
