There wasn’t a single correct guess for this week’s Pricespotter apartment, a bright and airy (if not especially large) one-bedroom co-op in the West Village. Some folks came close—notably Eulipian, who guessed $999,000.
The apartment isn’t asking quite that much, but it’s close; the price tag is $995,000. It’s located at 495 Hudson Street, right next door to the Church of St. Luke in the Fields and its adjacent, beautiful garden—which almost certainly adds a bit to the price.
Commenters were, by and large, not super-impressed with the space; though it has some positive attributes (nice skylight, wood-burning fireplace, a true bedroom), the cons outweighed the pros for most folks. “A square next to a rectangle, ugly old kitchen, everything’s very tight. I can’t see a couple in it, just a single person,” Trilby16 commented.
