Update 10/29/2018: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s Soho Mews penthouse has taken a major price cut. The couple listed the apartment earlier this year for $7.995 million, but the ask has now been slashed to $6.35 million, according to the Daily Mail, which first reported on the price cut. The asking price is now less than the $6.5 million the couple paid eight years ago to purchase the apartment.
Back in 2010, multi-hyphenate performer Justin Timberlake paid just over $6.5 million for a penthouse at Soho Mews, which has also counted Jessica Chastain and hotelier Vikram Chatwal among its buzzy residents.
But times—and the real estate whims of celebrities—change: Last year, Timberlake and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, shelled out just over $20 million for a penthouse at 443 Greenwich Street, the celeb residence of the moment (Meg Ryan and Jake Gyllenhaal also snapped up apartments there). Timberlake bought the unit through an LLC that he previously used to purchase an apartment in Tribeca’s Pearline Soap Factory, as well as the Soho Mews penthouse.
Now that Timberlake’s Soho condo is seemingly unnecessary, he’s put it on the market: It’s listed with broker-to-the-stars Jared Seligman, who’s now at Stribling, for $7.995 million, which is a slight uptick from the $6,567,713 that Timberlake paid for it. (A spokesperson for Stribling confirmed that the listing is legit, but declined to comment on the seller’s ID.)
The penthouse is a nearly 2,600-square-foot three-bedroom, with 3.5 bathrooms and a wraparound terrace. (Compare that to the Timberlake-Biels’ new Tribeca pad, which has four bedrooms, four-plus bathrooms, and a terrace that’s nearly as big as the apartment itself.)
The apartment’s other features include floor-to-ceiling windows, “custom wood paneling for optimal art display,” a swank kitchen (designed, like the building itself, by Gwathmey Siegel) with high-end appliances, a marble-covered master bath, and triple exposures. Though it may not compare to the paparazzi-proof 443 Greenwich, the building has a concierge, private parking (and a private entrance), a fitness center, and more.
