The city’s housing connect website has just launched the affordable housing lottery for 117 apartments (PDF!) within a new development at 400 East 203rd Street in the Bronx’s Norwood neighborhood. The units range in size from studios through three-bedrooms are available across four income earning brackets.
Individuals or families earning either 60, 90, 100, or 130 percent of the area median income (which translates to between $31,989 and $143,910, depending on household and apartment size). On the lower end of the spectrum, there are studios for $865/month while the most expensive apartment within the lottery are the three-bedrooms for $2,302/month.
According to City Realty, the mixed-use building replaces a vacant lot and is being developed by the Stagg Group. Once complete, the building, named Norwood Gardens, will stand 11 stories tall and is being designed by Marin Architects. Amenities are pretty standard with a laundry room, fitness center, and recreation room.
Deadline to apply is May 3.
