Developer Sheldon Solow is looking to build yet another skyscraper on Billionaires’ Row. His firm, Solow Management, filed plans with the city’s Department of Buildings for a 52-story building that’s set to rise at 12 West 57th Street. YIMBY first reported on the development.

The DOB plans reveal Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as the architecture firm on this new 672-foot building. Sources have informed YIMBY that the development firm plans to demolish the existing structure on the site, and build a hotel and condo tower in its place.

Plans call for 80 apartments spread out over 200,000 square feet of space, and an additional 180,000 square feet of commercial space, which YIMBY says could be a mix of a hotel and ground floor retail.

Aside from developing the iconic officer tower at 9 West 57th Street, Solow is also the developer behind the 19-story residential building now rising at 7 West 57th Street. In addition, Solow also owns properties at 20-22, 16, 10-14 West 57th Street.
