Since 2015, work has been underway on a massive rental building that covers almost the entire stretch between Greenpoint Avenue and Calyer Street on Greenpoint’s McGuinness Boulevard. Now developer Stellar Management has unveiled a host of new renderings for the eight-story building, just a month ahead of the official leasing launch.

Located at 211 McGuinness Boulevard, this rental will now be known as Otto, and will feature 197 apartments that will come in a mix of studios through two-bedroom homes. Apartments in this Gene Kaufman Architects-designed building will have floor-to-ceiling windows, and each of the units will be equipped with a washer, dryer, and a dishwasher.

As for the amenities, they include a library, a game room with a pool table and a fireplace, a residents lounge with an outdoor garden, a top floor gym which will have Peloton bikes among other equipment, and a rooftop that will come fitted with a swimming pool, a hot tub, and multiple barbecue grills. In addition, the building will also have a full-time doorman, bike storage, and on-site parking.

The project came about after the developer purchased a group of low-slung building on McGuinness Boulevard back in 2014 for just under $14 million. Those low-rise buildings were then demolished to make way for the rental project.

Leasing is officially expected to get underway on June 1, and CitiHabitats is in charge of it. The first set of residents will start moving in July 1.
