Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
Spring weather is finally—finally!—here, which means we’re daydreaming about backyard BBQs, tending to plants, and all of the other things that go along with New York’s seasonal shifts. This Prospect Heights apartment, which just hit the market for $979,000, would be the perfect place for all of that, and more.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home isn’t exactly huge; in fact, the expansive backyard appears to be about as large as the apartment itself, and comes with a patio, a stone-lined pathway, and plenty of space for an aspiring green thumb to do their thing.
The apartment itself has gotten some updates, including appliances in the kitchen and bathroom are new, but with lots of original details—there’s a wood-burning fireplace (for when the weather shifts cooler) with a lovely mantle, as well as wide, wood-plank floors and decorative window frames. One of the bedrooms is large (and leads straight to the garden), while the other, smaller one could work as a nursery or kids’ room.
Stribling’s Julie Greenspon has the listing, and maintenance on the place is $675/month. There’s an open house on Sunday if you want to check it out for yourself.
