It’s been close to a year since construction kicked off on Brooklyn Point, Extell’s first Brooklyn residential development and the final piece of the City Point megaproject. New photos from Field Condition show that the soon-to-be 700-foot-tall skyscraper is slowly coming along.
The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building, which will rise 57 stories, is currently just a few stories above ground, with a long way to go before it starts to make its mark on the borough’s skyline. Once complete, there will be 485 market-rate condos, each complete with interiors by Katherine Newman Design, oak flooring, and Miele appliances. In March, sales launched on a few of the apartments, with prices starting at $837,000 for a studio.
Amenities here will include everything from rock climbing and cycling studios to a stargazing observatory and the “highest rooftop pool in the Western Hemisphere.”
Construction is scheduled to wrap in 2020.
