The 33-story One Hudson Yards has amenities spread out on three different floors of the building

In August 2017, leasing got underway at Related Companies’s pricey rental development at 530 West 30th Street, One Hudson Yards. Now, 10 months later, the building is 95 percent leased, and the developer is offering us a peek at the fully-finished amenity spaces within the 33-story building, which was designed by David Brody Bond and Ismael Leyva Architects.

The swanky suite of amenities are spread out between the lower level of the building, the fifth floor, and the penthouse level. But before you get to any of those spaces, you have to go through the lobby, a space where Related also focussed a lot of its attention. Take for instance the walls—they’re done up in “shimmering bronze in a custom cast made by pouring molten metal over crumpled sheets of linen.” The same technique was used to create the sculpture by artist Michele Francois, which hangs behind the concierge desk.

On the lower level, One Hudson Yards has a suite of swimming pools that include a 82-foot lap pool, a hot tub, a plunge pool, and a salt water pool. Other amenities on this floor include a half-court basketball court, a bowling alley, a children’s playroom, a game lounge, and a fitness center done up by Equinox, which comes with a steam and sauna. All the building’s amenities (and interiors) were designed by Andre Kikoski Architect.

On the fifth floor, the building has a barbecue terrace that overlooks the High Line, and was designed by Terrain. The penthouse level meanwhile has two resident lounges with full-service kitchens and landscaped terraces with more room for barbecues.

One Hudson Yards, which has a total of 178 apartments, is one of the first buildings to be completed within Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group’s Hudson Yards megaproject. The office tower at 10 Hudson Yards is the only other tower that’s completed within the megaproject. At least two other buildings will wrap construction this year, with several others to follow in 2019.
