Actor Antonio Banderas is looking to sell his Central Park West apartment and move out west, the Wall Street Journal has learned. The four-bedroom home is part of the Upper West Side Beaux Arts gem, Prasada, and is one of just 40 apartments in the 12-story building.
Banderas’s apartment is a combination of two units, which happened under the watch of the previous owner; Banderas purchased the home along with his ex-wife Melanie Griffith back in 2005 for just under $4 million. Now, over a decade later, the Mask of Zorro star is looking to sell the co-op for $7.95 million.
Among the standout features of the home are the 50 feet of windows overlooking Central Park that can be found in the living room, and the formal dining room. Both the living and dining room come with built-in window seating to take in views of the Park.
Other nice features of the apartment include the decorative fireplace in the living room, the beamed ceilings, the stainless steel appliances in the windowed, eat-in kitchen, and the fact that three of the bedrooms here come with en-suite bathrooms.
One of the listings agents on the property told the WSJ that Banderas decided to sell because he wanted to move closer to his family on the west coast. The actor recently portrayed Picasso in National Geographic’s drama series, Genius.
