Work on a 43-story rental in Midtown East that replaced a 10-story parking garage has been underway for the past couple of years. As developer BLDG Management gears up for the leasing launch later this summer, the firm has unveiled two new renderings for the project, which is located at 222 East 44th Street.

The new renderings are also accompanied by the news that the building will now be known as Summit; the developer has also unveiled a teaser site for the rental. Summit is located just a short walk away from Grand Central Terminal, between Second and Third Avenues.

In all, the building has 429 apartments. Of those, 109 are affordable apartments, and the lottery for those got underway in April this year with units asking from $613/month. Apartments here will come in studios through three-bedroom variants, and leasing is being handled by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.

The building also has a host of amenities including on-site parking, a drive court, a fitness center with basketball and squash courts, an indoor swimming pool and sauna, a screening room, a children’s playroom, an outdoor terrace, and a lounge on the 41st floor, which will have a dining room.
