Nearly a year after residents first started moving into Kips Bay’s American Copper Buildings, the developers, JDS and Largo, have now unveiled the stunning rooftop space on the east tower of the project. Copper Top, as this space is known, features a massive lounge and pool area, and we now have the first photos of this recreation space.
In all, this rooftop lounge measures nearly 6,000 square feet. At 42 stories, this space offers excellent views of the East River, and comes with an infinity pool, an outdoor shower, an open-air lounge, dining and grilling stations, and space for private events. Much like the rest of the building, this space too was designed by SHoP Architects.
Most of the amenities at the American Copper Buildings are located within a three-story skybridge that connects the two towers, on floors 27 through 29 of the development. This 60,000-square-foot space is home to a climbing wall, a fitness center, a spa, and another swimming pool, among other features.
The sky-high rents on currently available units at the American Copper Buildings start from $4,457/month for a one-bedroom, and go up to $24,000/month for one of the building’s penthouses, according to StreetEasy. Citi Habitats New Developments is handling leasing. For now, enjoy the views of the rooftop space below.
