A new Cobble Hill condo that was inspired by the brownstone and red brick homes of the neighborhood has now launched sales on its 27 apartments. Located at the corner of Amity and Hicks Street, this five-story development is independent of the larger Long Island College Hospital-replacing megadevelopment.
This boutique project is instead being developed by Vega Management—the two owners of the firm have lived in Cobble Hill for over a decade, and presently live down the street from their new condo building.
At 78 Amity Street, otherwise known as The Cobble Hill House, apartments come in one to three-bedroom variants with prices starting from $725,000. Of the 27 apartments, five are penthouses which have private rooftop terraces.
Apartments here range in size from 634 square feet to 1,800 square feet. Some of the standout features of the homes include the white oak herringbone floors; the high ceilings, the triple-glazed, soundproof windows; the Gaggenau appliance package in the kitchen along with the marble countertops and and white and wood cabinetry; and the marble-tiled floors and walls in the bathrooms. The interiors here were designed by the Meshberg Group, while the exterior was designed by CWB Architects.

Amenities at the building include on-site, underground parking, a rooftop terrace with views of Downtown Manhattan, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, and a package room. Prices on the condos range from the above-mentioned figure to $3.675 million for a three-bedroom penthouse with private outdoor space. Sales and marketing are being handled by Deborah Rieders at The Corcoran Group, and the first set of residents are expected to move in by the end of this year.
