The former Standish Arms Hotel in Brooklyn Heights is getting a couple more celebrity residents. Shortly after it was revealed that actor Matt Damon purchased the building’s penthouse condo for $16.75 million, making it Brooklyn’s most expensive condo sale, the Wall Street Journal reports that actress Emily Blunt and her husband, actor John Krasinski, have purchased a full-floor pad within the building for $11 million.
People familiar with the deal revealed to the WSJ that the purchase was of two adjacent units that can be combined to create a floor-encompassing abode, though the square footage of the home couldn’t be determined. The transaction was completed through a trust at some point last year.
Last May, the couple sold their dreamy 5,200-square-foot Park Slope townhouse for $6.5 million. The couple said that they couldn’t justify owning the property anymore since they were away so much. Hopefully, they find the time to enjoy their pricey new condo at the Standish.
