Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can buy for a set dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, we’re looking at apartments for sale for around $950,000.

Asking $950,000, this Riverdale four-bedroom penthouse co-op has three bathrooms, a living room area, and a terrace with views of the Hudson River. As far as the building, it has a gym, an Olympic-size pool, a playground, a common laundry room, a dog park, among other things. Maintenance charges are $2,826/month. It’s located on Arlington Avenue, between Palisade and Riverdale avenues. Van Cortland Park is a six-minute drive or 23-minute walk away. The Riverdale Metro-North stop is the closest train station, while the 1 train at Van Cortlandt Park is slightly further.

Park Slope

In Park Slope, this two-bedroom condo is up for grabs at $929,000. It has two bathrooms, a living room area, an in-unit washer/dryer, and central A/C. The building allows pets. Taxes are $819/month and common charges $311/month. It’s located on 11th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, a block away from the F and G trains at Seventh Avenue and a nine-minute walk away from Prospect Park.

The building allows pets and has a bike room, storage space, and a common laundry room. Maintenance charges are $2,197/month. It sits on Park Avenue, between 87th and 88th streets, a short walk away from Central Park and near the 4, 5, and 6 trains at 86th Street.

On the higher end of the price spectrum, this two-bedroom condo in Columbia Street Waterfront District is asking $965,000. It has one bathroom, a living room area, hardwood floors, and a dishwasher. The building has a common laundry room, a bike room, and a rooftop deck with views of the Statue of Liberty, the city’s Harbor, and Downtown Brooklyn. Taxes are $489/month and common charges $556/month. It’s located on Sackett Street, between Columbia and Hicks streets, near several upscale restaurants including Lucali. The nearest trains are the F and G at Carroll Street.

And, finally, this two-bedroom co-op in Sutton Place is up for grabs at $949,000. It was recently renovated and has two bathrooms, a living room area, a dishwasher, and in-unit washer/dryer. The building allows both cats and dogs and has a common courtyard garden and a bike room. Maintenance charges are $2,495/month. It’s located on East 59th Street, between Sutton Place and First Avenue, an eight-minute walk to the N, R, and W trains at Lexington Avenue.
