A charming Brooklyn house in the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District that remains “little changed” is going for $2.25 million.
The house, located at 699 East 18th Street, is one of many enchanting homes within that historic district, which comprises two turn-of-the-20th-century suburbs and was landmarked in 2008. Even though many of the houses in the historic district retain their vintage charm, the LPC description of this one notes that it’s “remarkably intact,” with a wraparound front porch, wood shingles, paneled double doors, and wood railings among the original details that remain.
The interior also has plenty of lovely historic details—beamed ceilings, grand columns in the entryway, and an oversized fireplace—but has also gotten some modern additions, including new kitchen appliances and walk-in closets in the bedrooms. (It could also probably use some other updates; one bathroom has a very vintage pink bathtub.)
There’s also plenty of outdoor space; in addition to that adorable front porch, there’s a smaller porch on the back of the house, as well as a backyard. There’s also a two-car garage, which was added to the property in the 1920s.
The lovely seven-bedroom home at 699 East 18th Street is listed for $2.25 million with Compass’s Zahra Joudi.
