Greenpoint home prices have soared over the past years, following the same trend as the rest of Brooklyn. StreetEasy shows that median prices in the neighborhood went from $501,000 in 2012 to $859,655 in 2016.
If you need more proof of that shift, look no further than this recently renovated two-story townhouse that just hit the market: It sold for $350,000 in 2004, according to city records, and is now asking $3.495 million.
The 3,000-square-foot townhouse has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large backyard, and a recreation space on its lower level. It comes with a gas fireplace, in-unit washer/dryer, and a dishwasher. Inside, it has white oak floors, timber beams on its ceilings, and a wooden staircase, which give it a slightly rustic feel. There are large windows and 10-foot ceilings that let plenty of light in.
Located off the kitchen, the 495-square-foot backyard—“your private oasis,” according to the brokerbabble—has a wood deck with steps that lead down to a patio with tiles, a seating area, a wooden fence, and a grill station.
It’s located at 34A Jewel Street, between Norman and Nassau avenues, a block away from Msgr. McGolrick Park and near the G train at Nassau Avenue. Andrea Aguirre and Janely Amarante of Keller Williams have the listing.
