A 4,300-square-foot Upper West Side apartment just might be one of New York’s healthiest homes—at least, that’s the claim made by the listing for the three-bedroom spread that just hit the market with Sotheby’s for just shy of $25 million.
The condo is owned by Jason and Jessica Karp, co-founders of paleo, gluten- and GMO-free food brand Hu, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Karps carried their philosophy about clean food into their home, with a veritable smorgasbord of health-conscious finishes. The list of those amenities is long, and the listing describes them best:
All paint, finishes, and sealants were strictly vetted. A Ketra lighting system modulates spectrum and brightness according to circadian rhythms; color and scheme can be varied to suit any mood or entertaining theme. The residence is completely hypo-allergenic and features a whole-house humidification system, high-end UV-blocking windows, and an advanced triple-osmosis water-filtration system for perfectly pure showers, baths, and drinking water.

The kitchen comes with high-end appliances like dual Wolf ovens and a Gaggenau induction cooktop.
The Karps tapped interior designer Tony Ingrao to help combine three apartments in the Upper West Side condo building. The finished product is a serene home with lovely skyline and Central Park views. A corner living and dining room features a stainless steel fireplace and a wet bar with cerused Douglas fir cabinetry. The dining area is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows.
The kitchen comes with high-end appliances including two Wolf ovens, a Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, and a Gaggenau dishwasher and induction cooktop. It also features heated leathered stone floors, limestone countertops, and tile and plaster walls.
The condo features a 2,000-square-foot master suite with a gym and sauna, an office with two powered standing desks, an expansive dressing room, and a master bathroom with a walk-in steam shower, private water closet, and heated floors. Two additional bedrooms at the other end of the apartment come with en suite bathrooms. A neighboring corner media room can be converted into a forth bedroom.
