Back in 2016, it was rumored that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, were buying an 11th-floor spread at 70 Vestry, the plush, Robert A.M. Stern-designed condo building on the Tribeca waterfront.

But that apartment never actually sold, and it was later rumored that the couple had traded up—literally, to an apartment on the building’s 12th floor. (The reason? The New York Post reported at the time that it might have to do with Brady’s jersey number, but that was merely kooky speculation.)

So the Brady-Bündchens may be living on the 12th floor now—both of those apartments sold to LLCs in the past year—but the apartment they were originally eyeing, 11N, is back on the market with a $28.5 million price tag. The 5,000-square-foot apartment has six bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, Hudson River views, and access to the building’s myriad amenities, including privacy-boosting ones like a porte cochere and automated garage.

Including 11N, there are just five apartments left for sale right now at 70 Vestry, according to StreetEasy; other famed buyers include Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. Its penthouse sold last year for $55 million, making it the priciest home sold in the neighborhood (which isn’t exactly known for its shortage of high-end homes).

As for Brady and Bündchen, they sold their apartment at One Madison in 2018 for close to $14 million.
