A Walker Tower duplex, on the 15th and 16th floors of the iconic art deco building, has just listed for $27.8 million. The owner, according to the Real Deal, is Michael Stern of JDS Development—one of the companies in charge of the building’s redevelopment and condo conversion.
The 4,748-square-foot condo “exudes perfection,” the listing says, and has four bedrooms, four and a half baths, high ceilings, and a 686-square-foot terrace. The property also offers stunning views of the World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, and the Hudson River. Lavish details in its interiors include custom marble in the bathroom and French herringbone oak flooring throughout the apartment.

The former Verizon building built by Ralph Walker in 1929, was redeveloped into condos by JDS Development and Property Markets Group, launching sales in 2012. Cameron Diaz reportedly bought an apartment in the building back in 2013.
Monthly taxes will be $6,469 and common charges $5,792. The condo is located in Chelsea at 212 West 18th Street, between Seventh and Eight Avenues—a nine-minute walk to Chelsea Market and a 10-minute walk to the High Line. Vickey Barron of Compass has the listing.
