Big reveal: $1.25M for a renovated Chelsea condo

The first guess for this week’s Pricespotter apartment—a chic Chelsea condo close to the High Line—was the correct one. Commenter 41E3F344 hit the nail on the head with $1.25 million, the asking price for this one-bedroom condo.

The apartment is located at 555 West 23rd Street, which is located between 10th and 11th avenues, right next to the High Line. It was renovated in 2017, with Menino Carmichael Architecture and Interiors responsible for the revamp. That renovation brought in swanky new design elements—custom cabinets, a spa-like bathroom, and the like—that made the otherwise plain condo (“just a rectangle next to another rectangle,” as Trilby16 put it) into something special.

The apartment has one bedroom, ample closet space, a washer/dryer, and other mod cons. The lack of a bathtub and the size (not exactly huge) were drawbacks for some commenters, though.
