Did you guess the correct asking price?

This week’s Pricespotter apartment—a large studio with a sleeping loft, billed as a one-bedroom, in the Flatiron District—inspired some impassioned discussion in the comments, but in the end, no one guessed the correct asking price for the apartment.

The actual retail price? $1.395 million. The person who came closest was jakedrake, who guessed $1.4 million. (We normally abide by The Price Is Right rules here, but given the rest of the guesses were so far off, we’ll let this one slide.)

It’s located in a landmarked building in the Flatiron District, and has a huge living area (with 12-foot ceilings), a renovated kitchen with new appliances, a good amount of storage space, and a swanky bathroom with a large shower. There are large windows that let in plenty of light, and two nooks that can be used as office space. But it does have its quirks, namely that it’s essentially a large, open loft with a sleeping area on an elevated platform.

The apartment is located at 874 Broadway, between 18th and 19th streets, just a couple of blocks north of Union Square. It’s listed with Milena Baram of Compass.

Let’s look at the floorplan one more time:
