Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can buy for a set dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, we’re looking at apartments for sale for around $775,000.

The 677-square-foot unit has many perks, including a relatively large living room, in-unit washer/dryer, a dishwasher, a walk-in closet, but most importantly; a 145-square-foot private terrace. It’s located on Fourth Avenue, steps from the F, G, and R trains at Ninth Street. Plus, the building has a gym and a bike room.

Meanwhile, in Midtown, this posh one-bedroom is on the market for $799,000. The co-op apartment comes with plenty of charming details, namely its sunken living room, French doors, and built-in bookshelves. It also has one and a half bathrooms, two walk-in closets, and a dishwasher. Its location is a major plus: It sits on West 54th Street, a short walk from Central Park.

A little farther north another one-bedroom is up for grabs. This Upper East Side co-op unit, asking $789,000, has a large living room area, and comes with five closets, a dishwasher, and hardwood floors. The building where it’s located, on East 86th Street, has a common laundry room and a gym. It’s located mere steps from Carl Schurz Park.

For $799,000, this cute one-bedroom co-op in Greenwich Village comes with a spacious living room, four closets, and a dishwasher. Its location is perhaps its most noteworthy aspect, as it sits on West 13th Street, near Union Square and is a short walk to Washington Square Park.

Downtown Brooklyn

And, finally, on Concord Street, this stylish one-bedroom condo is asking $775,000. It comes with a dishwasher, in-unit washer/dryer, white oak hardwood floors, and a small private balcony. It sits within a new condo near Trinity Park that accepts pets and comes with bike storage.
