What/Where: 1BR, 1BA co-op in Kips Bay

Square Footage: More than 1,000

Maintenance/Common Charges: $3,296

Let’s start with the pros of this Kips Bay apartment: It’s quite large, spanning more than 1,000 square feet (according to the listing), and has not one, but two balconies. It was renovated by a noted architect and has some nifty features, including plenty of built-in storage space, a sleek and modern kitchen, and a bathroom with a large soaking tub. There’s also an alcove with a Murphy bed built in, which could be utilized for guests (and led the apartment to being advertised as a 1.5-bedroom).

On the con side of things: The monthlies are high, at close to $3,300/month. The apartment is located in a co-op building in Kips Bay, along one of the neighborhood’s main thoroughfares and a few blocks from the 6 line.

Knowing all that, how much do you think it’s asking?
