Early last year, the city’s Landmarks Commission approved the conversion of the 50-story Art Deco skyscraper into a residential building with retail at the base.
Whole Foods will take up about 44,000 square feet of space spread out over three floors, with two for shopping, and one for backend operations. The conversion is being designed by Robert A.M. Stern in collaboration with SLCE Architects.
