The Downtown Brooklyn apartments in this week's Open House Tour are all condos, which should be surprising to no one, especially not to anyone who read Nathan Kesinger's post this week about "Gut Renovation" and "My Brooklyn," two documentaries out now that take a hard look at Brooklyn development and gentrification. "I feel like [in Downtown Brooklyn], we are skipping the hipster and going to straight up luxury," the director of "My Brooklyn" said, and the places available for purchase in DoBro certainly lend credibility to that claim. But hey, they're still more enticing than some other Downtown Brooklyn options, such as living in a shipping container this summer.
