SPURA was passed by the City Planning Commission this week, so what better time than now to pay a visit to the Lower East Side and check out some open houses? This week's Open House Tour features three reasonably priced co-ops and two crazy, multi-million dollar condos with keyed elevators and rooftop jacuzzis and the like. Might we suggest looking at the co-ops first? They're not bad or anything—one of them is a 1,500-square-foot 3BR, 2BA for $888,000. That's a great deal! But it's still going to look pretty crappy if you've already seen the penthouse with the 100 percent radiant floor heating and the self-irrigating garden that day.
