This weekend, there are some pretty nice open houses on the Bowery, in addition to two-bedroom condos on Orchard, Ludlow, and Allen Streets all around 2,000 square feet. It's a shame Anthropologie backed out of its planned lease, then the neighborhood would really be "happening." For the time being, it seems Lower East Siders will be forced to walk all the way over to Soho for their high-end women's apparel and home furnishings. Ah well, such is life.
